Called to Make a Difference

Our Lord has called upon us to impact Vineyard for His kingdom. Through the guidance of the Spirit, we will bring the Gospel to this community and create generational change.

Who We Are

The Reynolds Family

I would love to write this saying we are the perfect family that comes from the perfect family, but this is not a fairy tale. We are a real family living in a fallen world that yearns for restoration daily. My wife, Ashley, and I have been married since 2010 and have two children, Ameya and Henry. We also have a Goldendoodle named Auggie. Our family enjoys going to the beach and the mountains for vacation. We love a good family movie night with popcorn, candy, cozy blankets, and good laughs. Ameya plays volleyball, and Henry enjoys lacrosse. Through all of our brokenness, the grace and mercy of the Lord continues to flow over our family immensely. This has not always been our story.

Growing up in two non-believing homes with lots of dysfunction, my wife and I vowed to break generational cycles of despair but did not know what that meant. For many years we wandered, searching for something to fill the holes within us. You know, the one that is often referenced as the God-sized hole among believers. During our wandering, we had our struggles like you would expect that any two lost people fumbling through life together would. In 2018, things changed after two years in South Carolina we felt a nudge to start attending church. We had attended churches before but were seat warmers, never surrendering to the Lord.

We came to Church at the Mill with low expectations, but the Lord had other plans. He broke through barriers in our lives and redeemed us from a life of sin. In January 2020, the Lord called me to a greater purpose to teach and preach His word. I did not know then that was only part of what He was calling us to. About a year into my journey of pursuing a biblical education, the Lord revealed the second part of our calling. He has called my family and me to leave it all behind for Him. He has called us to go to the people of Utah who have never heard the gospel truth and to be the vessels He uses to bring light to a dark land. Please pray our family will have beautiful feet in the land of the lost!

14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:14-17

Why
Vineyard?

Vineyard, Utah, is home to a rapidly growing population, but the county is 0.5% Evangelical Christian. I desire to bring the Gospel truth to the people in this area who are connected to the Latter Day Saints church and those who have fallen into Atheism/Agnosticism.

These people have been oppressed for centuries by false teachings. Their church had forsaken the unconditional love and acceptance of our Savior, and used religion to control every aspect of life for the congregation. Many feel like they are unwelcome and unworthy of God’s love. As a consequence, the state of Utah leads the nation in teenage suicide rate.

We want to change all of this. We know that in truth, none of us are worthy of the sacrifice that was made for us on Calvary. We cannot earn our salvation, we simply accept it and follow Christ faithfully through this life. He has the grace and mercy to love us for who we are. This is the true Gospel, and it is the message that the people of Vineyard desperately need.
